I'm back working in sunny Plymouth for a few days. Most orders will be dispatched as standard but bespoke orders may take a couple of days to reach you but please see product pages for detailed information on dispatch times.
I've just come back from a glorious long (very long) weekend in Porto and I can't explain how lovely it was. Gorgeous scenery, great company and plenty of delicious food and drink. I don't want to bore you with the details but here's a few of my favourite snaps from the trip!
P.S. The AirBnB was the best place I've ever stayed. Never has an affordable rental apartment looked so stylish!
Obviously someone has to wear their The Future Is Equal tee! Thanks to Hilary for this lovely photo.
This post is basically a love letter to Autumn because I can't get enough of it right now.
I always look forward to the colour changes and temperature drop but it seems this year more than ever, Autumn is happening so slowly and beautifully that I can spot something in nature to appreciate every single day.
Here's a couple of photos from a short walk I went on this week, which have barely been edited, so hopefully you'll be able to see why I love Autumn this much.
Last month I spent an afternoon in the Plymouth Museum and Art Gallery, somewhere I hadn't visited since I did my Foundation Degree about five year ago! That makes me feel old.
Last month I went to Pennywell Farm near Buckfastleigh for a day of cuddling baby pigs and stroking goats. I hadn't been since I was a child and I was pleasantly surprised by the cute little farm with a few small rides (unfortunately not suitable for 24 year old illustrators), range of hands on animal attractions and gorgeous view over South Devon.
Welcome to the Darwin Designs blog! I'm Alex and this is me circa 1996. Clearly I was destined to be a designer-maker.
Here you will find info about new products, what I have been getting up to, creative business advice and a whole lot more.
