Those of you that follow me on Instagram or Twitter will have noticed I have had a change of scenery lately...
I'm really lucky to have the opportunity to move to Devon for a few of weeks/months (I don't know how long yet) to a little cottage in the village of Noss Mayo, near Plymouth.
It's a place I have visited for my whole life so I am really excited to spend a bit more time down here, especially as the weather has been so beautiful since I arrived.
Some of you might know I spent a year living in Plymouth when I did my Foundation Degree, so I'm also really looking forward to looking around the city again and visiting all those places I enjoyed five years ago (wahh that makes me feel old!)
It's definitely a change to my normal routine but a pleasant one so far, which has enabled me to spend more time re-evaluating Darwin Designs and it's progression and working on new ideas. And despite managing to get lots of work done, and feeling very busy with the business, I also feel like I've had more free time to enjoy the little things I would never bother with before. I've been running round the coastal paths, walking to the post office (rather than driving) and reading more than I have in ages... so all seems good so far.
You can see my latest photos on instagram or check in with the blog again soon to see what else I have been getting up to in Devon.
Welcome to the Darwin Designs blog! I'm Alex and this is me circa 1996. Clearly I was destined to be a designer-maker.
Here you will find info about new products, what I have been getting up to, creative business advice and a whole lot more.
